I bought my 1st boat the other day. 2005 Bayliner Model 175BR (In X-Cellent condition) w 135hp Mercruiser engine & Alpha 1 outdrive or is that sterndrive. Kids thrilled, tubing etc. An hour into the day I hit a submerged rock. Boat ran fine no leaks. At the end of the day the trim button would not work(no noise from pump/motor) to lift the stern drive up into trailering position. Got the boat out of the water with 1/2" clearance. Went a few feet and the skeg started to hit the ground. (Damage was lightly bent prop). A fellow got a phillips screwdriver and played around with the 2 round trim control units on each side of the drive. The trim up button worked and the unit was raised. At home I pushed the trim down button and the unit lowered with motor/pump sound. When I pushed the trim up button, nada, no sound nothing. Now the skeg is on the ground and I can't even get it to the dealer to fix. Kids bummed out, wife is pissed I let the unit down. Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe
