Hello to all!!! Gotta few questions that I would like to get input on..Just purchased an old Sears aluminum riveted semi-v 12 ft. for $500.00..Upon purchase; the owner did put the motor in a bucket of water to prove that the motor still ran great... Researching this information out.. I have discovered it is approx. a 1967 model w/ an outboard motor w/ motor cover saying Evinrude fisherman model #CD-24D..Was wondering if the motor cover came off a different motor due to the motor cover stating 6.5 horsepower..and the model # is stating its a 6 horse johnson. I will welcome any information anyone can give me so therefore I can start modification, and post pix at a later date...Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not the correct cover. A lot of motor covers get replaced over the years for various reasons, I've seen more than a few of them on the side of the highway from not being latched down properly. Based upon your model number you have a 1967 Johnson 6.0 hp. You could always paint it and put on new decals if you want it to look authentic.
