newbie with ??'s

[65 niagra newbie]

I just got 1965 Niagra Custom which appears to be in good shape,New to boats,so a had few questions.The seats are in great shape,but has no carpet,did this boat originally come with carpet?And the bows are present and intact ,but no top,any idea where i can purchase one?Just cleaned it out and starting to go through it and looks like i got pretty lucky,all lights work and the 40 johnson which i think is the original motor started right up and idled really well.i do have some concern about the fact that it does not seem to spit the water back out,yet the temp.light never came on??not even sure where the water is supposed to exit the motor??gonna try to bring the coor to the gel coat,any help would be great,and finally anything work on removing the haze on the windsheild as i would like to reuse it has no cracks.soory for all the ??'s.but i'm new and this seems like a really neat old boat.

Look up Mark42's posts....... he has a 65 Niagara that he has restored.

Nope, no carpet in the early Niagara years. Maybe later, but the ones with fiberglass floors had no carpet.
