Anyone see the race today? How Jimmy Johnson and Jr. got wrecked on the last lap. All Jimmy did was whine about how he got spun by a team mate. Jr. took it into stride.

Yup, I saw and agree. After reviewing the replays, it could be argued that Jr.s block attempt and Johnson's subsequent swerve slowed the 48 just enough to cause the 25 to hook him anyway.

I'm just thankful that Burton got out of there still in 1st. Plate races are a fliipin' crap shoot and they need to figure out a way to let those guys race. I think they should take 10 degrees out of both Talladega's and Daytona's corners . . .

Jr. proved today that he has matured both as a man and a racer. Jimmy on the other hand has a ways to go. I'm sure he was upset at the outcome but a terse "no comment" would have said volumes without whining.

As far as Jr. blocking, Jimmy jerking (8)), and Vicker's not at fault (pretty much what he said in post race interview) Well let's just say that's not what NBC piped through my tube.

I am a Jr fan, and as he said, "it was one of those racin deals." I agree with him, as much as I would have liked a different outcome.

I have always been a fan of "all is fair" on the last lap.

"Junior" got what he deserved.

His front bumper was destroyed by knocking around "real" drivers (not legacies) with his antics.

I'm SICK of the whole NASCAR scene talking about nothing but "junior". I was wondering, at one point, if there was anyone else on the track. (junior, this, junior that, junior is god, junior this, junior that). Junior might be a legacy, but as much as I dispised his old man, he ain't his old man.

I watched the race yesterday, first in about a two months. The NASCAR thing has tired me. Now, it's all about the "Bad Boy". I think there is NASCAR collusion (BIG TIME) for ratings. I simply don't trust them (NASCAR).

"Junior" is big time ratings, and NASCAR knows it.

It did'nt really hit my feelings to see them two get wrecked. I think that Johnson himself has caursed his fair share of restricter plate wrecks.

Jr is the ratings, just listen to the crowd boo after the race.

I think there is NASCAR collusion (BIG TIME) for ratings. I simply don't trust them (NASCAR).

Call me naive, but I don't agree. The reason is the role of the sponsors . . . If I was handing anybody 20 - 30 big ones, I would insist it was fair

The other reason is tires and exactly what happened Sunday. How can you control results when you can't control ALL of the variables?

Thats just it QC. It doesn't matter if you win or lose its how much time your sponsors get seen that count.

Maybe Big B. I guess the lower tier sponsors can accpet TV time from any way they can get it. But the big buck guys want their cars out front, and they are not going to accept the 8 getting all of the coverage if someone is fixing it. I just think the big bucks insures that it is fair, not the opther way around . . . Like I said, maybe I'm naive.

Also owners like Hendrick and Roush and Gibbs are winning championships, not DEI . . .
