NGK sparkplug for 5.0xl mrecruiser i/o

Just got some new plugs for my 5.0 xl merc i/os.I like ngks and I checked and double checked and the plug designation is YR5.The ngk is a more shallow plug than I am currently using a/c.Called ngk and they had a term for it but they say that the shorter head(threads and gapping electrode) is correct.Does this sound correct???Charlie

Don't Know about the NKGs Charlie,.......<br /><br />I Do know that the AC MR43T is Awfully Hard to Beat...........

Never heard any bad press on ngks.Have I missed something Bondo????Fill me in if I have, before its too late for me.Charlie

Naw,.....<br /><br />Just Me Maybe........<br /><br />I've had the Best Luck putting ACs in Chevies,.....<br />Autolites in Fords,........<br />Bosch in Euro cars,......<br />And NKGs in Jap Iron........<br /><br />Champions haven't been in an engine of Mine in Years......
