I hear ya' Aspeck. I'll go with my two faves, the Calgary Flames (original home town) and of course the high talent Pens. I root for the Flames with my heart and the Pens with my head (and wallet).
Going to be another amazing season. I don't think there has ever been this much talent and this caliber of hockey in the league in quite a few years. Bigger, faster, better coached kids bringing it on!!!!

Preseason, I know. Pens had 3 practices including the one Tuesday morning before the game. Spotted them 3 goals, and then scored 4 in the 3rd to send it to a short overtime! Kunitz and Crosby both had 2 goals. Malkin did not play.

I drive my wife nuts this time of year ... don't care much for professional baseball or basketball, but hocky and football together (along with hunting season) and the poor girl has a hard time getting my attention on the rare occasion that I am home!

I'm teaching 3 days a week(12hr/day) and commercial fishing 3 days a week(12-14hr/day). On Sunday I'm either at the NY Giant game or watching from Noon till 730pm. This time of year the Mrs. occasionally throws me a grunt if we pass in the hallway by chance. Luv that gal!!!

I actually have high hopes for my Lightning this year.

I expect Vinny to come out strong and be one of the best players in the league again.
Our top six forwards should be as good as any top six in the league, and our defense should be improved big time.

My biggest concern is the goaltending situation....if Smith goes down we are screwed......
