Nissan 140 trottle/trim

everythings fine idling, but when i plane out all the gauges go out but the engine still runs fine until i move the trim then the engine will cut out as long as i hold the trim .pull the trottle back to idle then everythings fine again

Likely poor wiring connection, possibly ground.

i checked the connection on main battery. found corrosion on the + and - put new ends on. tried boat this morning everything ran fine again thanks for info.
