Nissan 2000 model 5 horsepower

Hi All!<br />I have a question about this motor... is this a pretty powerful motor to put on a small 8 foot plastic boat. (The kind you can throw in the back of a truck) Or a pond prowler, as Bass pro calls them. Anyway the boat weighs about 80 pounds and I will be using it by myself. What kind of performance should I get? <br />The second question is what kind of problems could I run in to if the previous owner never flushed after saltwater use? i belive those boats are made for electric motors is the weight not going to be a problem???

I have seen them run with 9.9 or even 25 hp motors.. The motor that I have purchased weighs about 40 pounds, or the weight of a trolling battery.... I hope it works.... but we will see!<br />Thanks for the reply!
