I have a Nissan 3.5b on the back of my canoe and it is leaking fuel when I tilt the motor up. I have inspected all the hoses and made sure the drain on the carb bowl is tight and I am still getting fuel leaking. Is there a position to keep the trottle lever in when not running it to keep it dry?

Clos the throttle all the way down and that should close of the needle in the carb. If it doesn't then you need to have your carb cleaned.

Close the tank cap breather valve and the fuel shutoff valve before tilting up any small outboard with built-in fuel tank. The hard part is to remember to re-open these before re-starting the motor.

Was your problem fixed? Did you check your gas tank to see if it was cracked near the fill nozzle/ cap?
