I have a 1998 70 hp nissian on a pontoon. It used to have rpms get 6200-6300 then I would back it to 5500. now it will only go to 5800-5500 with same amoun of people on boat. Could it be a coil?
It could be anything. Loss of RPM can be from a degradation of the fuel system, ignition system or mechanical system. It can even be from having water in the toons.
