Nissan NS5B Conversion to External Fuel Tank

I have a 1999 Nissan 5hp 2-stroke (NS5B) that has the internal fuel tank. It has developed a crack and is leaking fuel. If I have to put money into repairing it anyway, I might want to convert to an external fuel tank. Is this possible with this motor, and what does it take to do this?

Replacement internal tanks are available. There isn't a "kit" to do the external fuel line setup, but all the bits are available at any dealer.

The parts do the external tank setup cost about $59.00. That includes a check valve, tee fitting, connector for the external hose, a couple of miscellaneous hose bits and the hardware to mount the external connector. You will also need an external tank and primer hose. Takes less than an hour to install, and then you have the option of dual tanks (internal vs. external).
