Nissan oil light staying on sometimes

Hope someone can help me on this one: I have a 2002 Nissan four stroke motor. While on vacation fishing I noticed that the oil light would stay on longer than it should. I would shut it off and start it back off and the light would go out like it should. Normaly the light stays on maybe three seconds after you start it. Every one out maybe six times that I would start it up the light would stay on. I did check the oil. It was fine.<br />I even changed it when I got back from vacation. Took it out that first time at a local lake and it happened again. Anyone have any ideas on what is going on. The motor runs fine. I'm just not sure why the light is staying on then going out as normal after I shut it down and restart.<br />Anyone ever have this happen to them??
