Nissan Outboard used value

First post here, I have a 2003 Nissan 25 HP electric Start, tiller, long shaft 4 cycle motor with less then 40 hours on it, in the process of rebuild the carbs due to what else Ethanol. What can I expect to get for it on the used motor market ?

Check E bay, Craiglist, Marinas for same model year price refference. Include Tohatsu, Mercury same models as all of them are brothers.

1 to 1.5 K...Ethanol does not normally cause a carb problem that can be solved by rebuilding. You probably have gummed up carbs due to fuel evaporation due to the carbs being left will fuel in them.

Yep. Happens with all brands of carbureted small engines -- not just outboards.
