Nissan "Skid Plate"?

I bought a stainless steel prop protector or what I call a skid plate for my Nissan 9.8 but it won't fit. Has anyone ever run across a prop protector that will prevent damage to the prop in shallow water? It bolts to the bottom part of the shaft and extends beneath the prop and is the first part of the motor to hit in shallow water preventing damage to the prop.

I've seen a few of these on motors, but never used one myself.

they're not as popular as the round one that circles the prop. The one pictured above tends to break blades off the prop when rocks jam between it and the prop.
