What do you use? And how do you mount it? I have a 1984 Nitro 17 F/S and cannot seem to see how to mount either my bow-mount Minn-Kota (no real flat surfaces) or my 7.5 Merc (stern has odd angles/no flat surface close to vertical).
Clues are welcome, pics even better.

Re: Nitro--Trolling motor or kicker?

roscoe--
Thank you, but you missed my point. I already have a kicker bracket. I could conceivably mount it on the stern of my boat but it will not hold the motor at a workable angle because of the "rake" of the boat's stern surfaces, which are probably 30 degrees from vertical. The trailing edge (and all surfaces which meet it) are also on a diagonal when viewed from above.
Hard to explain but if I need to post a pic you will see.

Check Roscoe link closely and You will see many of the brackets are adjustable for transom angle. Some you can adjust and some you can not. Most of the better kicker brackets you can adjust for transom angle.

Here is another link

Go to top left and put in iteam Number IF-011746
When new page comes up click find product.
Then click on the iteam number and it will show a picture of how mounting board adjust.

http://www.cabelas.com/
