Any first hand experiences with nmea2k fuel senders? I have a Garmin 4212 with the GM 10 hub. What I want is a the most useful fuel flow info to include total burned, rate etc. Is any one better than another? Is there any compatibility issues? Poor interfaces? Thoughts?

Re: nmea2k fuel senders?

I have a Garmin 4208 and installed the Garmin GFS-10 fuel managment system. Happy so far.

I looked at the Lowrance EP-60 (its cheaper) but I would have needed to purchase the LMF 400 system to configure the sensor to put the data on the Garmin screen which defeated the purpose.

The Lowrance also didn't provide the digital fuel level readout I get with the Garmin.

As of yet, I can't find what info it provides? Could you clue me in?

It's in the manual, page 30

Fuel flow for each engine, total fuel flow, fuel level in each tank, total fuel remaining, fuel economy, and the range for your boat are shown.
