Hi everybody, I've been reading this forum for a few weeks. I just registered and this is my first post. Hope it goes through ok. I have a 90HP 1995 Force by Mercury outboard on a 17.5' deep v Bluefin. I've had this motor for four years with no trouble until this summer. The motor would run ok with the muffs but in the lake all I could get out of it would be about 2500-2800 rpm. I checked the compression yesterday and had 110psi on the top, 0 on the middle, and 120 on the bottom. Can I have just the middle done or will they have to do the whole thing? What kind of price am I looking for one cylinder or all three? I know it will depend on the shop any damage in the cylinder but I'm kinda looking for a ballpark figure to start with. Thanks for any infomation you guys can give me.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Why would you post this in the non-repair forum, Mayor?

Moving it to Force Troubles.

Cost of repair will range from $700-$2000,
unless it is only a head gasket, which could be replaced for under $200.
