purchased a walk through console w/ a murc cruiser 140 rebuilt engine. First day having it in the water the exhaust flow system took on water & the bilge pump failed & she went down. Flushed engine w/ new oil 2 times, replaces all plugs & wires, distributor cap ect. second day out. She pumped all 4 courts of oil out. Had to replace valve cover gasket, lifter plate & gasket, & timing chain cover & gasket. 3rd day out. she is now only hitting on 3 cylinders. plug & wire are both ok. No compreeion on the 3rd cylender what might be the trouble w/ this Costly Witch now?

wil n tam,

Did it go "under" running?

If so, I suspect you have "holed" a piston, bent a rod, or you have a valve sticking.

All of the above are going to require disassembly of the engine.

Re: no compression on 3rd cylinder

Could be as simple as a broken valve spring.
