Launched my new (2000) boat today. Key West 2220 Cc. I'm in heaven. But I spent four hours trying to get the chart plotter/sounder to register depth. Just won't do it. Went through the manual (Japanese to English translation) 8 times! Tried everything.<br />Can anyone familiar with this unit give me a hand. I just want to know how may feet are under my boat. Tried everything from auto to manual to more gain less gain, blah blah blah. very frustrating.

I have a Furuno 667. You need to check your transducer, the ducer cable and conections, and make sure everything is on and conected and corrosion free. If they are, try taking your unit to a west marine or boaters world and plug it in to one of their transducers and see if it works.

Try adjusting the transducer. If the transducer is to close to the motor, it will interfer with the reading. I would test the screen at a dealership and if okay try moving the transducer away from the motor. Also, make sure the transducer is sitting parrallel to the ground (if mounted crooked or turned it will also produce a poor reading).
