no feed back steering

hi everyone , I have a 1997 doral bowrider with a 115 merc on the back , I would like to change out the rotary steering to a no feedback system . what I need to know is can I just change out the helm or do I have to get a new cable as well . thanks

Ayuh,.... That'll depend on what yer startin' with, 'n whether It's compatible with the no-feedback helms...

Yup, like Bondo said.... It CAN be done... I changed just the helm to NFB for my dad on his bass boat but you have to have a compatible cable... pull your old helm and see what you have
