I have a 1968 16-foot Larson Lapline tri-hull with an Evinrude 85 HP outboard. I want to replace the steering mechanism, steering cables, and steering wheel. I'm new to boating. In boat catalogs I see "no-feedback" steering systems. What does this mean and what kind of system should I purchase?

Thanks!

ManOverBoard

Teleflex makes the "No Feedback" systems. Primarily, it means that the propellor torque is not fed back to the steering wheel and you don't have to strain against it. The steering will stay where you left it, with hands off the wheel. I put one in my boat two years ago and would recommend it to anyone. Good steering system.

The Teleflex System you've been looking at, Is the 1 you Want......
It somewhat Limits the Torque of the motor,+ prop,
so the steering wheel isn't always Pulling...
You know, Left or Right.......
