Its a 1995 25 horse mercury. I replaced the switchbox and I got no fire. I went out later and unplugged the kill switch and it fired right up. IU plugged the kill switch back in the next day before starting it and it fired right up. I went fishing 5 times and it always started right up. I went yesterday and it did not. Never did start. I unplugged the kill switch from the throttle arm and the one fromt he front of the motor (run off switch) and I still had no fire.

Is it the coil?

Re: No fire?

I doubt if both coils have failed at the same time. The only 2 things on a 25 that will stop fire on both cyls. are the stator or the kill switch is shorter out, if you disconnect the blk/yellow wire at the box and still have no fire it just about has to be the stator test it
