no ID plate for serial # 80's 50hp rude what year???

Im trying to figure out what year the 50 hp is. The hood says evinrude 50 vro
I know this is nothing to go by.Are there any stamps on the block or any where enlse to tell what the year is. the vro fuel pump has been replaced with a fuel only and I would like to rebuild that pump just need year to order the right kit.

Tashasdaddy thanks I saw the plug but didnt look closley at the numbers they would have jumped right at me if I stopped to take a look.
where are you in Jax? I'm close to NAS JAX. I'v read your posts on sanding and painting aluminum boats and plan to do it to my 87 starcraft CC this winter. If at all possiable I would like to meet up and pick your brain in reguards to the restoration later this fall..

got it e50tlcud = 1987 motor has 135 psi on both I need to free up the piviot hinge, re-prop, fuel pump rebuild, trolling motor and so on and so on
