No IDLE !! 1992 evin 48hp model #E48ESLEN

Hi guys !! well i can't get this motor to idle at all and i am tied of tearing up my dock !!! So is it possible to put on a new carb ! as cleaning jets is out of the question !! i'm 70 and haven't had 1 good day with this motor !! knees are bad and patience is gone !! Is a new or rebuilt carb available ?,approx how much, is this hard to install ?, where can i buy one online ? you guys have been great so please don't give up on me now !! i'll put in a good word
for you :-]] this problem is killing me & if it doesn't... my wife will as she thinks i should know how to fix & refuses to ride on pontoon !!! help ;-[[

Of course it's possible to put on a new carb.. Although I think that it'd be just as easy to remove the carb you have, put it on a bench and clean it up and then reinstall it. The hardest part (in my opinion) is taking them off and putting them on. The rest is just tedious but not hard.

When I say new I mean a rebuilt one... I don't know of any place that sells brand new carbs for older engines...
