How do I find out what model number I have when there isnt one on the motor?
There is no sticker on the block anywhere, and the and the sticker on the transom clamp is also gone.
I do know that its a 90 hp and I beleive its a 91' model. I have all the casting numbers from the block but none of them are a model number.
There has to be a way to identifie them besides a sticker. The sticker on my 1990 model (yes I have two) is just a peice of white surgical tape, not the most durable label.

Cant, its stripped down to individual pieces. Im trying to order a rebuild kit but I need a model number.
If you have specific questions I can probably answer them.

Re: no model number?

Post pics of the exhaust plates and head.Motor pieces. The cover too.
Most major pieces are the same, almost all gaskets are the same.
If you think it's about an 88 then 99.9% of any 88 will fit.Same with other years.J
