I bought a new 115 Merc and the lower unit made all sorts of noise When I bought the motor filled out customer satisfaction report so remarked about the noise, Mercury called and said the noise is prop chatter but they have a fix for it since the motor is new I asked if it was covered under the warranty and Mercury said no that there was nothing wrong but they had designed the repair because of so many complaints. With service like that Mercury will be next in line for government bail out no one is going to buy a bad product with worse customer service!
