Changed the fuel water seperator and then changed the oil through the drain hose out the garboard plug.
Everything went fine with the fuel filter besides the fact that I had to use channel-locks to get the dam thing off
.
So I changed the oil filter and left the oil to drain overnight. Couple days later I refilled the engine and went to start the boat and then all these weird alarms kept coming on.....
.
One said "engine overspeed" minimizing power to 100%, then reduce throttle.
While this was happening, the motor wasn't running steady at all at read 0 PSI oil pressure.
I stopped the motor and turned the key a couple times thinking that maybe the fuel filter didn't have ample fuel in it yet. I did this a couple more times before starting and voila......All the alarms went away and oil pressure went to 49.8.

Are these occurances normal??? I am thinking they happened since,
1. Not enought fuel was in the filter
2. Took a minute or three before enough oil got circulated and to the remote filter for the oil pressure to move up.
