I recently had a low oil alarm that started right at start up at the lake. I immediately shut it down and headed home to check it out. The oil level was at the top, float and magnet were good. I disconnected the wire from the cap and still had alarm. I just had to bump the motor over and the alarm would start (didn't need to actually start the motor). I do get the pre start beep beep when i turn the key to "on".I was going to disconnect the motion sensor wire to see if it would stop the alarm but noticed blank off's from the module and looks like a factory metal cap where the sensor would go. I'm not sure why it wouldn't have sensor??? I then disconnected the green wire from the alarm module and the killed the alarm. I pulled the pump to inspect and all was good until I noticed the oil line going into fuel line tee was split just under the zip tie...so glad I shut the motor down when I did. I ran out of time tonight to get a replacement tube but It has me wondering if that would actually sound the alarm ? I mean with no rotation sensor all the alarm would do would sense low level in the oil reservoir right???
