no power at WOT

i have a 1987 omc 5.7 ltr (bayliner) last year I installed a new carb. new fuel pump and filter. I also changed the drive shaft in the out drive ( installed a used shaft with new bearing installed at a shop and I re assembled it) my problem is that at WOT im only getting 3500 rpm and only 14 mph. could this be because of the out drive or something else. im not the best at mechanical so please any ideas would help. thanks

Has it always behaved this way for you? Or was it ok before you did the new carb pump and filters? What size boat is this in? What prop are you running?

I did the out drive first and I was having trouble then but it stopped. then I did the fuel pump and carb after that

I just read the bit about having a bearing installed at a shop. If they just put the bearing on the shaft, they couldn't properly set the bearing preload. If there was a major problem here it probably wouldn't cause your issue, but that is totally something you should check
