Alrighty guys new season, new (or the same) problems. Last year I posted about my Evinrude 115 crossflow on my turbojet eating a ring, Thanks to "jimmbo" and "racerone" comments was able to complete it and it went (in my opinion) very well. After getting it back in the boat it idled exceptionally better. Temps were good, Did the 8 hr break in procedure. And it ran pretty good. But somehow at WOT it was running the same as it did the year before with only 3 cyl working. Didnt deal with it last year but really wanted it dialed in this season. Sooooo.. all cyl have about 135psi comp so I havent eaten another ring. Im thinking its a fuel issue, as my bildge gets covered in gas/oil mix. I cant find where its coming from. The tach is sometimes sporadic, but for the most part stable, only goes to 4800rpm max at WOT and it sounds like its missing at that rpm, smooths out when I ease off throttle but still acting like on 3. Only get 30mph on a small 17ft boat. Same as i did with the broken ring last year. Any thoughts? Maybe timings off.......

Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" or better on each lead ??
I haven't tested spark yet, not quite sure how. Don't have a spark tester, may get one this week and see what results I get. 2 years ago I checked by grounding the plugs to a bolt and all had blue spark but not sure if it was jumping the correct gap?

Have good spark, got home early and got one from CT. Was jumping right at 3/8". one of the 4 was jumping even better. So spark shouldnt be causing the issue.
