Hello all,
New to the group! I have a 4.3 mercruiser on a 2000 Bayliner and I'm not getting power to my fuel pump. I have a brand new pump, brand new fuel filter, brand new starter. The engine will turn over, but no fuel is getting to the carb. If I pour a small amount of fuel in the carb, it'll crank and run for a few seconds. Any thoughts? I've tried jumping the oil sender switch but that didn't seem to do anything.

Usually the carb models with electric fuel pump, the motor starts of the fuel in carb, oil pressure builds in seconds, oil pressure switch on side of block closes and send power to pump. Keeps pump from running when engine is not.
