Alright, so I was at the all day yesterday fishing and had no problems what so ever with anything, but on the way back it was about a 5 mile run back to the dock About 2 miles into it out in the middle of the lake it looses power an just rev's up. So I put it in neutral an try back in forward an it moves at idle speed but the prop spins when give it gas but it doesnt do anything but rev up.

Today I took the prop off an seen that the rubber sleeve has burned off. So ive done some searching and found out that the Quicksilver II (48-16548-23, 48-16548A40) witch I have on there. That is on there is the same as the Lightspeed now.. Anyone know if this is true?

Also, will the Mercury Flo-Torq II be the correct hub kit to buy to fix this? Because, after searching all morning, I have now confused myself and need help with witch kit/rubber sleeve i need to buy..

Thanks in advance..

Edit: Also its a 1987 Blackmax Xr-2 150 HP

Ayuh,... If it's a pressed in rubber hub,... It's gotta go to a Prop Shop for repairs,...
The torque-flow system is Totally different...
