no power to start

last summer i was able to turn the key to start my boat. this summer i have now power on the instrument panel and key wont start. i have checked all the wiring and even replaced the soleniod. i get power to the back of the key switch but thats it. any ideas of where to start looking of fixing?

i have a 1976 sterncraft mercruiser 140 and yes i already replaced the ignition switch

Clean all your connections starting with the battery and terminals then make sure your batteries are fully charged, then see what happens. If nothing happens after that you need to dig further, refer to the above Dons link.

If it was fine last season there cant be to much wrong.
