I was double checking my manual as I am finally finnishing a rebuild of a 115 omc turbojet. It says to not use sealant on the adaptor where the engine plate bolts on. Seems to me that this would be the ideal place to use a gasket sealant since the adaptor holds water and there is only a 1/4 in flat around the exhaust port. What could it hurt other than making for a more difficult dissassembly. I don't want to mess with a leak if something wasn't true and flat or a little nick from my scraper.
