NO SERIAL #'S OR MODEL # TAGS ON MY ENGINE ??

Hello all, I have a 1997 Striper 2600 with a 5.7 tbi Volvo penta engine with the SX outdrive, finally got the boat all fixed and ready for Mexico. With that boat permit you need to get into Mexico it say's you need the serial # for your engine, well when the guy before me had the engine rebuilt in 1/13 I guess the left all of that off. I'm now sitting with an awsome boat I cannot even take to Mexico, does anyone have an old Volvo engine with the tag on the block or the cover for the flame arrestor with the model and serial #'s on them. If anyone knows or has one that wants to sell it let me know. Or if you know anyone that has and old motor and willing to let me buy it from an old 1997 era block, thanks for all your help

Write the boat maker and ask for the info on the boat.
Send them the hull # and they'll send you the #s from the original install.

I tried calling seaswirl, my boats to old for them, I guess the Orgeon plant burnt down with all the older boats info and since they bought Striper they can't help me, also checked with Volvo and they don't replicate of even know what I have, tried both sources, tried calling old owner and even the shop where he had engine rebuilt, I think this is my only other route, Thanks anyway.
