There is no spark. Some of the things I checked are the Kill switch which is new I did the meter test provided by the manual, also I removed it still no spark. I found out I have a volt regulater on the motor which does not show up in the merc manual for a 175 1988 it looks like it burnt up.One bolt was loose causing a arc so I removed it and still no spark. I changed the rectifier which was not bad still no spark. Starter turns and batteries seem ok. last time this happend I had a loose ground but I could not find one. I had a purple and white wire that looked preaty bad so I fixed that I think it is for the ignition but that seems to be working. I also checked the 2 yellow wires coming from the stator they are reading 7 just like the test says they should in the book so I am lost.

if stator checks out -and you have no spark i would suspect the switchbox - do you get spark on any plugs or none at all either way switch box is dead - very easy to do when something like a regulator fries out .

I ran the Stator test from the switch boxes I disconnected the blue and red and the blue white and red white this is with the battery off and the red seem to be allright but I get no reading from the blues. Is this a bad stator I am thinking it is. I also get no reading when I connect to both red and blue. red to ground is good blue to ground is nothing.
