No spark - 65hp, 3cyl Evinrude

Any info on trouble shooting this ign system would be nice. Unfortunately, I don't have a manual and not sure what year it is. It's obvious I'm going to need a lot of help here. Probably a good place to start is to explain the problem.<br /><br />This motor quit suddenly, no sputter, it just quit and never restarted. Lots of fuel to the combustion chamber but no spark. An Ign circuit diagram could be helpful.<br /><br />Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Best regards to all.<br />George. Ont. CAN.

Welcome to the forum George!<br /><br />You will need to post your model number. From that someone can find your correct year and so on and so forth.<br /><br />To make a wild guess Id say you have a dead condencer or your points have lost continunity. corroded wire or wiers. Shorted to ground some place mabey.<br /><br />I wouldnt suspect ignition coils, All three wont go dead at the exact same time.<br /><br />Just my guess mind ya. Gees..... big help aint I, Iam sure you could have guessed at it yourself.<br /><br />Good luck!
