No Spark...'79 Johnson 100

I have a 1979 Johnson 100hp outboard. I have no spark at either cylinder. I have tried to determine where current has stopped however, I am not sure how to test the coils or the stator or power packs. I would think at the very least using a continuity tester, I could determine where the current has been broken. Can anyone shead some light on this issue..be it testing the about electrical parts or other thoughts?

Thanks.

I found my engine on the link you sent me however, I was unable to find where on this link the tests are shown. Any thoughts?

if you read the lower part of page 34 and all of 35, there are your test as to why you don't have spark. that's the same thing you are going to pay a mech $80 and hour to do.

hello, I just had same problem with my 1986 110 , spark was only on left bank, put new power pack on and problem solved, why not try and swith power pack IF you are getting spark on one side?
