I'm still at I spent the day making a new engine harness after I noticed most of the old wires were really old. The insulation was flaking and there could have been shorts at several locations. In any event on my earlier post I thought I may have had oil mix and fuel issues because the motor was running and bogged down before quiting. I have seen several threads re: switch box, trigger switch, rectifiers. I have a 1979 Mercury 700 70hp 3cyl and to be honest I'm not sure of the locations of the mentioned parts. Where's the best place to start? I really hate to end up at a dealer having them replace parts one at a time. Thanks again in advance.
