No spark

I have a 1985 Force 50. Just put new coils on it and bought new spark plugs. The top coil has 12v going into it when I did a test. But there is no spark coming from it to the spark plugs. The lower coils is not receiving any power at all. What can i try to do to fix this?

you need to test other things that have to do with all the coils.. CDI pack(s)...trigger...magnets on flywheel...stator.....lots of things to check. I am not familiar with that small of an engine but i beleive it should have all those things. Also how are you testing spark? are you grounding the plugs out? using the board and nails method?

I hooked up the spark plugs and touched it to a bolt on the powerhead. No spark.

do you have a dva tester? did your OHM the stator, trigger, CDIs, and coils?

How do I test the Stator? The coils are brand new.

Would a CIRCUIT TRACER be a good investment for this problem?
