No thottle in reverse

1999 V225TLRX, 1999 Ranger Comanche 519VS
​Will go into gear but won't throttle up. Remote is flush mount. No adjustment to cable at engine. Just won't go far enough to open butterflies. What's wrong?

check your cable mounts inside the cowling... before where they hook up on the throttle control. they tend to pop out of the bracket, use zip ties to secure the brackets .

Try isolating the issue.

Does the throttle go all the way when you disengage the shift?

Disconnect shift and throttle cables from the engine and try then....That will tell you right away where the issue is..either in the control box or the on the engine side.
