got no pressure to fuel pump so i bypassed with a 4 psi electric fuel pump and know i have fuel to carb when trying to start carb will weep fuel (not from blow by hole) i have pulled pistons and checked rings and reed block even though i am not very familair with theses componets everything looked in order no major wear to cyl walls or pistons and all reeds were intact no broken ones and not stuck to block any ideas on what else to check ,also have 160lbs comp on each cylinder , if i put fuel in cylinders it will fire every time until fuel is gone 2 or 3 seconds

Re: no vacume

I just hate it when they do that.

Start by fixing the fuel pump.

Re: no vacume

The only things I can think of is bad/worn labyrinth seals on reed block and the cylinders are equalizing(crosstalk) each other. The engine will still have good compression if this is the problem, also check the transfer port cover, if gasket bad it will not have a "vacuum" to draw fuel.

yea all the petals looked good no breakage or cracks chips nothing all very clean im gonna put new ones in being i am already that far but still dont think i have found anything yet gonna replace rings to just in case. all block seals and gaskets are new as well the only thing that looked a little worn was the inside circle that goes around the crank it has ridges on it but seem to have been worn away a little

When you split the reed block in half the inside of it has the ridges and grooves this is the labyrinth seals, The shoulders be raised and have sharp edges,if worn/flattened or brassy colored they are worn, it the standard 10 petal reed used on the inline motors, if you need one pm me your address and will send ya one FREE (got plenty of good used ones laying in stock)you pay shipping.
