Hi all,<br /> I was hoping to get some expert advise on my OMC/Johnson 24V trolling motor. I hav been having alot of trouble with it clicking and knocking this season and I just found the exact model on E-bay for a fraction of buying new, so I purchased the motor for parts. After receiving my spare motor. I removed the entire lower motor unit from my boat and installed the replacement. It appears to be identical. The problem I'm havings is that the new motor will run wide open even when turning down the variable speed switch on the foot pedal. Does anyone know if there is a solution to correcting this. If the replacement motor is set up for 12V instead of 24, can I reconfigure it to run @ 24? <br /><br />Thanks<br /><br />Jerry
