Re: No Vent on tank????????

Perhaps it's what's called a pressure tank used on the pre 1960 (aprox) motors.

Are there 2 pins sticking out of the hose connector on the tank?

Re: No Vent on tank????????

If it has 2 pins sticking out of the tank connector, 1 pin opens the connector for gas, and the other pin is an air vent so when you disconnect the hose neither gas or air gets in or out. When you connect the hose and push the 2 pins in gas is open and so is air.

Re: No Vent on tank????????

digimortal777, the OMC OEM tanks (non-pressure type for single hose) did not require a separate vent. I have a 2.5 and a 6 gallon version and both have black metal self venting caps. Typically, non-OMC tanks (metal and plastic) often have a vent screw in the cap.
