1979 Century 351 Ford OMC I/O
I was helping a neighbor double check everything (fluids, hoses, belts, etc) before he put his boat on the lift. We put the Ears on, fired it up, and no water was coming out of the prop. Well, maybe a trickle. I did notice a spray of water coming from between the transom and outdrive. We stopped and tilted the outdrive to see if anything was obvious. All appeared ok but I've never worked on an OMC outdrive other than change fluids.
We fired it up again and ran to the operating temp that Tim said it usually run's at. Had a pop, shot the breeze, and ran it for another 4-5 minutes. Temperature held fine.
Why the spray between the transom and outdrive? Isn't more supposed to be coming from the prop?
