NOAA Radio

We have had all kind of storms come this year and it got me to thinking I need a good NOAA radio in the boat. I would like to have something fixed mount, waterproof and runs off 12volts. The only thing I have found like this is a VHF radio with weather channels. I only do freshwater fishing inland, so no need for the VHF, but if I have to I will get one. I was wondering if anyone knew of something cheaper for NOAA radio in boat.

Re: NOAA Radio

Sure.... hand held FRS Family Radio ...... some have NOAA weather radio reception and you can plug them into 12V adapters.

We use those radios for 4 wheeling and locally in the woods and they have the NOAA channels.

Cheap and work fine
