I am in the process of finishing interiour in my project boat. It is a 17´runabout and will be powered by a v4 evin. This hull type has a high transom and deep splashwell and it would be possible to make an upholstered lid over the splashwell clousing off against cockpit. Anyone who has experience with this ? Does it reduce noise in boat ? It will be held down by a spring, and with a little roller underneath to lift it when the ob tilts up. Good or bad idea ?

Interesting idea, just make sure it is as light as possible, no need to add extra weight.
