non-Yamaha parts quality

One of the posters in this forum who seems to have a lot of credibility said not to use Sierra or other non-Yamaha parts. I located fuel pumps for my 1993 225 just by following the "Boat Repairarts" link at the top of this page. Does this get me Yamaha fuel pumps or not. The fact that they are only $29 each makes me suspicious. Anytime I've ordered a part from my Yamaha dealer the price has been outrageous (all motor manufacturers, car/boat/etc make a lot of their money on parts).

Swist,<br /> I also took his advice and purchased the same fuel pumps for my 91 225. They are factory Yamaha parts and cost 29.61 each to be exact. I got them at Boats.net. I am very satisfied. All parts purchased,themostats,gaskets,carb rebuild kits were all factory Yamaha.<br /> http://www.boats.net/parts/yamaha.html
