One of the posters in this forum who seems to have a lot of credibility said not to use Sierra or other non-Yamaha parts. I located fuel pumps for my 1993 225 just by following the "Boat Repair:parts" link at the top of this page. Does this get me Yamaha fuel pumps or not. The fact that they are only $29 each makes me suspicious. Anytime I've ordered a part from my Yamaha dealer the price has been outrageous (all motor manufacturers, car/boat/etc make a lot of their money on parts).

Swist,
I also took his advice and purchased the same fuel pumps for my 91 225. They are factory Yamaha parts and cost 29.61 each to be exact. I got them at Boats.net. I am very satisfied. All parts purchased, themostats, gaskets, carb rebuild kits were all factory Yamaha.
http://www.boats.net/parts/yamaha.html
