Hi all,
Just got my first little rib, a Wetline 260 ECO and a yamaha 4HP outboard.
Had a few questions that I would appreciate an answer to.
Firstly, if there any good guides on trim and where to set the outboard to. I figured mine was wrong when the bow of the boat was sticking right up out the water, so much so i couldnt see over it.
Second, where exactly should I be sitting? On the seat or in the back right corner next to the outbaord? And does this change depending how many in the boat.
And finally outta curiosity on calm water how fast is a 4hp motor likely to be going?
Thanks in advance
Mark

Hey Mark, you see because an inflatable is so light it will always stick right up when going on plane, the trick to this is, to sit right to the front so you can get the nose down quick, and then once over, you must move right to the back next to the motor for ultimate performance .... do not sit on the seat, sitting on the floor is the best place .... with more in the boat i doubt you will get it on plane with a 4hp .....

Thanks for the reply, so would I be best just leaving the tilit pin in the second pin hole as itis and keeping the motor vertical.
Thanks again

No, you would be better off trying it in the closest pin setting to the transom for planing. The farther out the pin the faster you will go ONCE you are on plane.
