Noob Question

This is going to sound really silly. I purchased a 1995 Neptune 2002 today. It has an 115 evinrude outboard. I see where to fill the gas but where do I put the oil? Do I premix and put in the gas tank or is there some sort of oil resevoir?

Also, is there a manual available online for this boat? My prior boat was a very simple bowrider. Everything on it was pretty obvious.

Your Evinrude should have the VRO oil injection system. My reservoir is under the center console next to the battery.

I have a 1994 Corsair 190. My oil tank is under the port side rear seat. You can also trace your lines from the engine, if there are 2, it is probably oil injected. If not, premix....

My Sunbird Neptune 180 has the oil tank on the port side rear compartment. It's possible the PO had removed the tank, in order to run it premix.

There's an ever raging argument that the VRO pumps quit w/o the alarm working. It'll bake the motor. Mine seems to work fine and I think I'd change the VRO pump before I went to premix. It's convienient and no math involved 8^)
